This remedy works as salty water helps in neutralising the pH in the mouth to soothe inflammation. It helps in reducing swelling caused due to allergies or sensitivities.

Mash one ginger and add 1/2 teaspoon of salt to it. Make a coarse paste and rub it on your gums. If you can, leave it for about 10 minutes and then wash your mouth. Doing this 2-3 times a day would make your pain and swelling banish.
Baking soda and turmeric
Mix a pinch of turmeric to a teaspoon of baking soda. Rub this powder on your swollen gums and massage gently. Rinse your mouth after this massage. Alternatively, you can also add baking soda to your toothbrush and brush your teeth. You can also make DIY toothpowder that works better than toothpaste. This remedy can be done twice a day without a second thought.
