According to Dt Rakshita Mehra, “pumpkin seeds are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, great for brain health. They are great for brain health.” She explains that the healthy fats in pumpkin seeds support cognitive function, memory and brain cell health.

Sleep, Fibre and Magnesium – A Triple Boost

Mehra adds that it has sleep-inducing properties, which is great for people who are facing difficulties in sleeping. “Good in dietary fibre—½ a tsp can be added in the diet of those who are facing constipation issues,” she shared. It is High in magnesium and is great for those who crave sugar a lot. Adding pumpkin seeds can help relieve sugar cravings.

Dt Mehra adds, “Tryptophan is present, which helps in relieving stress, anxiety and promotes happy-hormone production.”
