According to Dr Arushi Suri, Consultant Dermatologist & Aesthetic Medicine, Mahatma Gandhi Hospital, Jaipur, eyebrow nano-blading is a semi-permanent cosmetic procedure designed to enhance the appearance of eyebrows by creating fine, hair-like strokes. This technique uses a special ultra-fine needle to deposit pigment into the top layer of the skin, mimicking the natural look of brow hairs. “The results are semi-permanent and last only 12-18 months,” added the expert.
How Long Does Eyebrows Nano Blading Last?
According to Dr Suri, eyebrow nano-blading typically lasts between 12-18 months, depending on factors such as skin type, aftercare, and lifestyle. Most results remain vibrant before requiring a touch-up or refresh, although, with proper care, some individuals may enjoy the effects for up to 3 years. The pigment gradually fades over time due to the skin's natural cell turnover, making regular maintenance essential for keeping the brows looking fresh and defined. A follow-up session is usually scheduled about 6-8 weeks after the initial procedure to perfect the results and address any areas where the pigment may not have taken as well. Overall, while nano-blading offers a longer-lasting solution compared to traditional methods like microblading, regular touch-ups are key to sustaining the desired look.
“Face can be washed with water but no soap has to be applied for one week” said Dr Suri. Facewash can be started after a week only. The expert also added that any swimming, steam, or sauna can be started after two weeks only. “Waxing or threading of eyebrows should not be done for 6 weeks post-treatment,” she added.
How Does Nanoblading Affect Natural Eyebrow Growth?
The semi-permanent cosmetic procedure enhances the appearance of eyebrows by creating fine, hair-like strokes. Here are a few key points about how nano blading affects natural eyebrow growth:
- Minimal Trauma: Nano Blading is less invasive than traditional methods, causing minimal damage to the skin and allowing for quicker healing.
- Natural Appearance: The precise strokes blend seamlessly with existing brow hairs, giving a fuller look without affecting hair follicles.
- Support for Growth: Since the procedure does not interfere with hair follicles, it allows for continued natural hair growth alongside the enhanced appearance.
