Bollywood would no longer be the same as veteran actor Dilip Kumar passed away. This marks the end of an era of Bollywood. Known as the tragedy king of Bollywood, Dilip Kumar was 98 years old and breathed his last after a prolonged illness. He is survived by his wife and veteran actress Saira Banu who stood with him firmly throughout the tough times. The entire country and fans of Dilip sir are mourning the loss of a star who kept the entertainment industry shining.

The news of Dilip Kumar’s demise was broken on his official Twitter account by Faisal Farooqui who used to handle his account after Dilip saab. Here is the tweet.

Dilip Kumar Death

Muhammed Yusuf Khan aka Dilip Kumar was a heartthrob even in his late 90s. His fan following remained the same as it was when he was a charming actor titled ‘The Tragedy King of Bollywood’. As per the sources, the doctor who was treating him told a leading news agency that Dilip Saab was suffering from advanced Prostate Cancer which gradually spread to other parts of his body over time. Towards the end, his haemoglobin dropped as well as his blood pressure.

For the uninitiated, he was recently admitted to the hospital after complaining of breathlessness. If statements released by the news agency are to be believed, Dilip Kumar suffered kidney failure due to water in the pleural cavity. He was being provided blood transfusions but due to the spread of cancer, nothing seemed to aid his treatment and we lost him.
