Satish Shah Cause of Death
Shah's manager expressed greif saying that his death was due to kidney-related complications which is faced by millions of people worldwide. Kidney failure or Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is caused when the kidneys lose their function of cleansing blood and eliminating waste over time, or after a sudden trauma. Medical sources identify the leading underlying causes in adults as:
- Diabetes (mellitus): Over time, high blood sugar levels cause damage to the kidney's filtering units.
- High blood pressure (hypertension): Chronically high pressure in blood vessels can injure the kidneys' sensitive structures.
- Other causes: Includes glomerular diseases (e.g., glomerulonephritis), inherited diseases (e.g., polycystic kidney disease), urinary tract blockages or frequent infection, and long-term use of some medications.

Kidney disease usually develops silently, with no early warning signs, and by the time it is diagnosed, much of the damage may already have occurred.
In acute situations, conditions like decreased blood supply to the kidneys, extreme dehydration, toxins, or obstructions in the urine can cause abrupt failure of kidney function.
As the world of cinema and television grieves Satish Shah's departure, his death also serves as a time to be made aware about kidney health, most especially in the elderly population as well as those suffering from chronic illnesses such as diabetes or hypertension. Early diagnosis of kidney function (through tests like estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) and urine albumin) and lifestyle measures (managing blood sugar and blood pressure, diet control, avoiding drugs when possible) can be highly beneficial.
