A virtual meeting was held to discuss the plan to roll out the vaccine in the country and immunize people against the deadly coronavirus. All the states and Union Territories’ representatives attended this meet to understand the Co-WIN software that is going to help in the smooth conduct of the vaccination drive in 5,000 sites across the country. A lot of issues were discussed during the virtual meeting regarding planning, time slotting, vaccinator allocations, sending notifications to the vaccinators, etc. This meeting was held to review the final preparations before beginning the vaccination drive. COVID-19 Situation in the country is far better than others

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare tweeted this graph that depicts the number of active cases per million population. India ranks the lowest amongst the seven countries which is a great news!

For the past two weeks, we are seeing a significant downfall in the positive cases which indicates that the situation is getting better day by day. Currently, the rate of new cases is only 0.51% and the recovery rate has gone up to 97%. The only threat is the UK strain of COVID-19 where 90 people have tested positive for this strain. However, we hope that vaccination would bring a halt to these cases and eventually put a full stop to the coronavirus transmission and the damage it has caused to humankind in the previous year.
