A lot of people fail to understand that they are emotionally stressed whereas some are unable to cope with it despite knowing their suffering. So, if you are feeling stressed and depressed, just sit in a peaceful corner either at home or in the lap of nature and meditate. 

Shift Your Focus

Imagine you had an argument with someone very close and you haven’t spoken to them for the longest time ever, this is certainly going to cause emotional stress. So, instead of focusing on the problem, distract yourself towards something else. In order to release stress, you need to engage your mind to some other activity. To do that you can try the following:

  • Engage in an art activity like painting, crafting, sketching, etc.
  • Go for photography, if you like to do it
  • Watch your favourite romcom or comedy movie that makes you feel light
  • Go for a short vacation or getaway to unwind your mind

Try journaling 

In order to relieve emotional stress, it is important to let go of the emotional baggage you might be carrying. If you can share your feelings with someone else, do it. If not, do journaling.   • Listen to soothing music as you lie on the couch. Just 15 minute of doing this would give you enormous pleasure.
  • If you love to read, take a good book of any genre and read it with a peaceful mind.
  • Go for a soothing, relaxing shower or spa
  • If you are unable to sleep, light a scented candle, play soft music and relax. This would definitely put you to sleep.
