Dr. Kapil Sharma is Group Director of Gastroenterology at Yatharth Super Speciality Hospital, Greater Noida, with over 20 years of clinical experience in advanced gastroenterology and therapeutic endoscopy. He completed his DM in Gastroenterology from King George's Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow, and received specialised training in Third-Space Endoscopy and Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD) in China - making him one of the few specialists in India with this expertise. Dr. Sharma is widely regarded as one of India's foremost experts in Advanced Endoscopy, EUS, and Third-Space Endoscopy. Over his career, he has performed over 50,000 therapeutic endoscopies, 30,000 ERCPs, 15,000 EUS procedures, and more than 500 POEM procedures.  He is the first from North India to publish on EUS-guided coiling for gastric varices and published the world's first OPEN Z-POEM in the VIDEO GIE Journal. He has been honoured with the Travel Grant Award at Asia Pacific Digestive Week, Bangkok (2012), and the Young Clinician Award in Shanghai (2013). He also regularly conducts free outreach OPDs and runs a YouTube channel with 80+ public health education videos.
