Prof. Dr. Hrishikesh D Pai is a distinguished Reproductive Endocrinologist with over 33 years of experience in assisted reproduction and endoscopic surgery. A Mumbai University MD Gold Medallist, he completed a Research Fellowship in Reproductive Biology in Melbourne, Australia, and a Master's in Clinical Embryology at the Jones Institute, USA, subsequently serving as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He currently serves as President of FOGSI, Regional Trustee (Asia Oceania) for FIGO, Professor of Reproductive Medicine at D Y Patil University, and Medical Director of the Bloom IVF Group, which operates 11 IVF centres across India. A true pioneer in his field, Dr. Pai introduced office hysteroscopy to India in 1998 and has presided over the nation's top OBGYN and endoscopic bodies, including ISAR, IAGE, and MOGS. His global influence extends to steering committees for the WHO, the NIH, and the Gates Foundation, and he serves as Country Lead for the FIGO Gates Leadership Development Initiative. He has delivered over 800 lectures, edited 18 medical books, published 42 research papers, and has been honoured with 64 prestigious awards - most notably the Honorary FRCOG Fellowship (UK) and multiple Lifetime Achievement Awards from ISAR and ISSRF. Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Pai has driven transformative public health initiatives across India. As Chief Administrator of the internationally acclaimed FOGSI Manyata Programme, he has helped certify over 2,000 quality maternity facilities. He launched the Freedom from Anemia roadshow that screened 200,000 women, co-founded the PMSMA scheme with the Government of India, benefiting 40 million pregnant women and has recently partnered with the American Cancer Society to mobilise 10,000 gynaecologists for ground-level cervical cancer vaccination.
