She completed her DM in Endocrinology & Metabolism from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi - India's most prestigious medical institution - preceded by her MD in General Medicine from Maulana Azad Medical College and MBBS from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi.
