DIY Hydrating Face Masks You Can Easily Make At Home
When it comes to skincare, there is nothing better than some of the natural ingredients that are easily available in your home. You can grind, crush or mix them and can make amazing winter face masks out of them.
Banana Honey Face Mask
Banana works as a skin moisturiser and so does honey and together, they can work wonders in hydrating your dry skin. To make the banana-honey face mask,
- Take a fully ripe banana in a bowl.
- Add two teaspoons of honey to it.
- Mash the banana and mix the two well to make a fine paste.
To apply:
- It’s better to first wash your face with lukewarm water.
- Next, apply the pack on your face and massage well.
- Leave it for a few minutes.
- Wash it off with lukewarm water and pat your skin dry.
Oats & Honey Face Mask

Now this grain has several benefits when it comes to your physical health. But, do you know, it can do wonders when it comes to your dry skin too? To make the oats and honey face mask:
- Take half a cup of oats and grind it well to make a fine powder.
- Add two tablespoons of honey to it.
- Mix them well to make a fine paste.
- Apply it to your face and massage gently.
- Leave it for a few minutes and wash it off with lukewarm water.
Aloe Vera Face Mask

When it comes to skincare, aloe vera is a staple ingredient whether it comes to products sold in the market or the ones you make at home. And why not? Aloe vera moisturises your skin, treats acne and infections, and fights against skin aging. To make the aloe vera face pack for dry skin:
- Take two tablespoons of aloe vera gel.
- Add two teaspoons of honey to it.
- Mix the two well.
- Gently apply the mixture to your neck and face.
- Let it sit for 15-20 minutes
- Rinse off with lukewarm water.
Shea Butter & Coconut Oil Face Mask

Both shea butter and coconut oil are great skin hydrants. Also, they even out your skin tone and make it more elastic. Quite naturally, a combination of these two super ingredients works magic on your dry skin. To make the shea-butter coconut oil face pack:
- Take a tablespoon of shea butter.
- Add a teaspoon of coconut butter to it.
- Mix the two well.

Honey-Epsom Salt Face Mask

Epsom salt, commonly known as ‘sendha namak’ in Hindi, is a great skin exfoliator. Also, it flushes out toxins and also helps with inflammation. And honey, as you already know, has great hydrating properties. Combine the two, and you get an excellent face mask that fights against skin dryness, which is quite common during winters. To make the honey-Epsom salt face mask:
- Take two tablespoons of ‘sendha namak’ or Epsom salt.
- Add two tablespoons of honey to it.
- Mix well and make a fine paste.
- Apply to your face and massage well.
- Let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes and rinse it off with lukewarm water.
So, these were some of the face masks you can easily make and use at home to give your skin that much-needed hydration during winters. However, the primary source of hydration should be water. Although you tend to drink less water during winters, try to consume at least the requisite 7-8 glasses of water daily.
