With the introduction of detox drinks that guarantee instant weight loss and overnight weight loss hacks, the majority of people believe that dieting is a two or three-day process. Weight loss that occurs overnight or in weeks is only water loss from the body as body fat remains constant. To lose weight, a person must maintain a calorie deficit, and there is no better way to do so than by dieting. However, when it comes to dieting, some people either diet for 30 days and then quit, or they diet for months without a break. When you diet for an extended period of time, your body begins to respond differently.

So, if you are currently on a diet or want to start one, let's start by determining the ideal duration of your diet and how your body reacts after 100 days of dieting.

How Long Should You Diet?

To be clear, diet refers to a general diet that contains all nutrients and is low in calories, rather than a specific diet such as the keto diet or the ayurvedic diet. Ideally, you should not diet for more than 90 days or 12 weeks because the human body is extremely intelligent and becomes accustomed to eating the same foods and thus stops responding.

Another way to judge is when you believe you have reached a plateau. Weight loss plateau is a common problem for dieters where their weight loss stops, and this usually happens after 90 days. To summarise, anything longer than 90 to 100 days is not worthwhile.

What 100 Days Of Dieting Does To Your Body

1) Cleans Your System

When you follow a diet, you are more likely to eat healthy foods that are high in nutrients and antioxidants. Consuming antioxidants for 100 days flush away the toxins from the body and cleans it from the inside out.

2) Healthy Skin

Our bodies are a reflection of what we put into them. When you eat clean food that is high in amino acids, vitamins, and minerals, it shows on your skin. Acne breakouts, scars, and dark circles all begin to fade.

3) Treats Deficiency

We always look at diet from a physical perspective, which is weight loss. In reality, diet heals our inner health, resulting in weight loss. When you eat clean foods, your body receives all of the nutrients it requires, allowing your organs to function properly and keeping you away from multivitamin supplements.

4) Boost Immunity

A person is said to be healthy not because of their body fat percentage but because of their immune system. How does one develop immunity? Immunity is a slow process that occurs when you eat healthy, so when you diet for 100 days and avoid junk food, your immunity cells increases, resulting in fewer doctor visits.

5) Healthy Weight Loss

There is a difference between healthy and unhealthy weight loss. Weight loss caused by a fad diet is unhealthy, whereas weight loss caused by a proper diet, and that too at a rate of no more than four kgs per week, is healthy. The most significant advantage of healthy weight loss is that it is long-lasting and difficult to regain.
