Each day you wake up with the motivation that you will work hard today and finish your work before time. But then you end up feeling sleepy mid-day and then get lazy in rest of the day as you do not feel like working or doing anything. If this happens with you too, then this article is for you. With so much happening around us, it is important that you stay active and complete your given tasks at time so that you can find out time for doing other chores and recreational activities. If you are feeling lazy, tired and sleepy on a regular basis, then there could be some possible health reasons that could be affecting you.  

Possible Reasons for Feeling Lazy and Sleepy in Daytime 

1. Lack of Iron  

Iron deficiency or lack of iron in the body can be one of the reasons for feeling lazy throughout the day. Low levels of iron can result to tiredness and laziness. Iron present in the blood enhances your body functions and makes you active. This could be especially possible in the pregnant women or those who are on their periods. Iron deficiency can be caused due to poor diet or eating too much of salad-based diets.

2. Lack of Sleep 

This is quite obvious that if you do not get proper sleep and rest, then your body would not work at the same efficiency and lead you to tiredness. Not having enough sleep or a regular bases can affect your mood, heart functions, kidney functions and digestive health as well. It can make you feel lazy throughout the daytime and you may get exhausted very soon. Poor or improper sleep can also affect your skin health.

3. Feeling stressed or Overwhelmed 

Being overworked or stressed can also cause sleepiness. You might have observed when you feel too stressed up, either by work or due to personal reasons, then you might feel extremely sleepy. This happens because stress releases hormones in the body that brain identifies and tries to relax the body by sleeping. Piling up things or working hardships each day might be very exhausting for your body mentally and physically too, therefore sleepy and laziness comes to play.

4. Not eating Balanced diet 

Consuming unhealthy or diet that is not balances can affect your body in many ways. Eating unhealthy items need more time to get digest and the function of digestive system increases. As the pressure increases over one organ, then it takes the energy of other organs and therefore it leads you to feeling lazy and tired. The quantity and quality of food is also very important in order to remain fresh and have more active hours during the day.  

5. Excess or No Exercise 

Both excessive exercise or no exercise can impact your daily lifestyle. Even though exercise is good for your body, but then over doing can cause tiredness and sleepiness in the day time. This is because the body needs proper rest to relax the muscles and work efficiently. On the other hand, not doing any workout or exercise can also lead you to laziness and sleepiness. By exercise in an adequate amount, you consume calories that makes you active and fit.

6. Getting Dehydrated 

Dehydration means that you do not have enough fluids in the body. This could lead you to headaches and dizziness during the day time. It might also cause different symptoms such as cramps, stomach issues, laziness and day dreaming. Water makes up for majority of the body and not getting enough fluids during 24 hours. Dehydration can lead you to delayed motions and reflexes.

7. Heat or Sickness 

Spending a lot of time in the warm and humid environment can lead you to tiredness and feeling lazy. Heat actually results to similar feeling like sickness and energy levels become low. In some cases, you might have observed that you need ideal temperature and surrounding for work. Work environment is a real thing and people neglect it like it is nothing. Actually, working in the office or dedicated space increases your capacity and makes you focus on your goal or target more appropriately.
