How is water consumption and coronavirus related?
While most of the medical research groups are busy finding the cure to this virus and developing a vaccine, Russian scientists have found that water is the weak spot of COVID-19.
As per a report by a Russian news agency, researchers from VECTOR State Research Center of Virology and Biotechnology in Novosibirsk, Siberia have successfully established the link between the temperature of water and coronavirus. According to them, drinking room temperature water can inhibit the growth of the COVID-19 virus.
The temperature of the water is important
While boiling water is found to kill the virus immediately, it is not practically possible to drink boiling water. You can sip on hot immunity-boosting kadha like ayush kwath instead. Drinking warm water or room temperature water can kill 90% of the virus and the remaining dies within 72 hours.
However, this theory doesn’t work in seawater or chlorinated water. Treated water cannot kill the water but the virus doesn’t multiply either. In a nutshell, the temperature and nature of water are directly related to the lifespan of the novel coronavirus.
