- Must be within the correct pH and specific gravity ranges
- Cannot contain biocide preservatives
When you hand your sample over, the temperature will be tested within two minutes. If it passes that, it goes through validity checks.

2. Once hydrated, there’s no need to microwave it. There’s no heatpad to use, and nothing else to do. Simply tuck it into your underwear and put on baggy jogging bottoms. Because this is an unsupervised drug test, they won’t touch you intimately or pat you down to discover the sample.
3. On arrival, just before you go into the building, you’re going to use the heat activator powder that comes with the Sub Solution powdered urine kit. Tap in about one third, shake it gently until it dissolves, then watch the temperature strip carefully. Add a little more necessary, and aim for a reading as close to 100°F as possible, without going above that.

Quick Fix 6.3 is a popular brand of fake urine that’s been around for as long as Sub Solution has.
There are a lot of positive reviews online about it, but you will notice if you look in detail (don’t just look at overall star ratings or percentages) that a lot of the more modern reviews are not positive.
Quick Fix has the following issues:
- Very basic formula
- Doesn’t froth like urine
- Doesn’t really look like urine (some people say it look slightly green)
- Requires a heatpad and microwave
So it’s not going to pass visual scrutiny. An experienced person will spot it quickly. It won’t always get that scrutiny, especially not with digitalized testing, but it’s an extra level of risk.
You also need a microwave to warm it up, and the heatpad is what keeps it within the correct temperature range. But heatpads are highly variable, and can often fail.
Quick Fix is one third of the price of Sub Solution, but you’re getting one third of the product. If it’s an important drug test, it’s really not a fake urine kit you should even be considering using instead of Sub Solution.
What About Claims Sub Solution Failed Tests From Reviewers?

The thing is though, if you’re upset because you failed a drug test, you’re going to come online and vent. Even if it wasn’t the products fault, you will probably blame it anyway.
