The actor recently opened up about his journey, sharing how he managed to shed an impressive 55 kilos within a year. Through sheer determination and disciplined lifestyle changes, Kapoor went from 140 kilos to a fit and healthy 85 kilos.

In a podcast with Devna Gandhi, Kapoor discussed the highs and lows of his weight-loss journey and detailed the diet and workout regimen that brought him this remarkable transformation.

Ram Kapoor’s weight-loss journey wasn’t an overnight success. In fact, it spanned over five years of trial and error. He revealed that he initially managed to lose 30 kilos but eventually gained it all back. Reflecting on the experience, Kapoor said, “This helped me learn what I should not do. I stayed up all night reading books by experts, watching podcasts, and understanding that people are either committed to their fitness or they aren’t.”

Kapoor followed an intermittent fasting routine, a popular method where meals are consumed within a specific time window. His two-meal-a-day diet played a crucial role in his weight loss.

  • First Meal: Between 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM.
  • Second Meal: Around 6:30 PM.

He avoided snacking in between these meals, adhering strictly to the fasting period of 16 hours. This approach not only reduced calorie intake but also helped regulate his metabolism.

The Workout Routine That Transformed Him

Physical activity was just as integral to Kapoor’s transformation as his diet. His daily regimen included:

  • Cardio: 45 minutes to burn calories and improve heart health.
  • Strength Training: Another 45 minutes to build muscle and enhance overall fitness.

Kapoor emphasized the importance of strength training and maintaining a healthy sleep routine. He believes these elements were pivotal for achieving faster and healthier weight loss.

Addressing the Ozempic Question

With the rising popularity of Ozempic, an anti-diabetic drug often used for weight loss, Kapoor was asked whether he had used the medication or undergone bariatric surgery. He clarified, “I never took Ozempic or any other drug for weight loss, neither did I do bariatric surgery. But does any of that matter? It’s not wrong to use these methods if people want to become a better version of themselves.”
