DIY Lip Balm

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon beeswax
  • 1 teaspoon shea butter
  • 2 teaspoons of sweet almond oil
  • 2 drops of your favourite essential oil
  • 1/8th teaspoon of beetroot powder
  • Lipstick tube/ tin

Method

  • Take a medium sized pot and fill it halfway with some water and place a mixing bowl on top of it to prepare your double boiler.
  • Now add in your beeswax, shea butter and almond oil into it and heat until your wax gets melted.
  • Sirt it well and add beetroot powder to the bowl and combine everything together.
  • Remove the mix from the stove and add essential oil to it. 
  • Give it a nice stir and pour the mixture into your lipstick tube. 
  • Allow your lipstick to cool for a while and it’s ready to use
