Refined sugar is bad for health, including brain health. Hence, either quit sugar, consume less, or switch to healthier options. Jaggery, honey, brown sugar are some options people switch to.
2. Excessive Screentime
We are spending longer time in front of the screen than ever before. It includes smartphone, laptop, television, and video games. By spending the majority of our time online, we miss out on crucial experiences of human interaction important for our overall well-being. It is also bad for the eyes, neck, shoulders, and overall well-being. It also interferes with sleep. Hence, limit your screen time to a few hours and make room for more personal interactions.

3. Lack Of Physical Activity
A sedentary lifestyle makes you gain weight and prone to numerous serious diseases. It is not good for the brain and has even been linked to conditions such as dementia and Alzheimer’s, as per a leading health website. Hence, get up and move around. Getting 150 minutes of exercise a week is what the experts recommend.

Sleeping is the time your brain gets time to rewire itself. Hence, if you miss out on sleep, you harm your brain. If you find it difficult to fall or stay asleep, you can consider not drinking coffee close to bedtime, having a light meal in the evening, and developing a peaceful bedtime routine.

5. Blasting Your Headphones On Full Volume

Some alone time can be soothing. However, too much social isolation isn’t good for you and your brain. Humans are social animals and are wired to behave that way. Hence, human interactions are crucial for our well-being and overall existence.
7. Consuming Too Much (Negative) News
Let’s be honest, newspapers and news channels today are more filled with negative news than positive. Consuming too much negative news can be overwhelming and bad for mental health. Hence, being informed is good but not at the expense of your brain health.
8. Staying In Dark Too Much
