Change in Baby’s Diet after 1 Year
- Milk is the primary diet of a toddler, but it does not render all the nutrients. Thus, it is important to feed your child with other foods to make sure that his nutritional requirements are fulfilled.
- Instead of breastfeeding babies after 1 year, parents must start with whole milk owing to the fat requirement.
- Paediatricians recommend intake of 1,000 calories a day for 1 year old babies half of which should come from fat sources. Moreover, babies require 500 mg of calcium and 400 international units of vitamin D daily after one year.
