Coronavirus BCG vaccine India latest updates: All around the world, vaccine trials are going to protect against the deadly coronavirus. On the other hand, research in India has revealed that the vaccine against the BCG vaccine can also protect people from the COVID-19. According to the study, this vaccine is again proving useful in the prevention of coronavirus. Dr Renu Agarwal, Medical Superintendent (MS) of COVID-19 Hospital located in Noida Sector-39 has done research which has revealed that BCG vaccine enhances the immunity of the body.
The study has been published in the Indian Journal of Applied Research
According to Dr Renu Agarwal, a group of 80 employees was formed. In the group, 30 people were vaccinated with BCG while 50 were given without being vaccinated. All these were tested RTPCR every 15 days. After about a month, 16 COVID cases were found among the employees who were not vaccinated.

How did BCG's name appear in a study involving Corona?
- On April 1, 2020, during this research, 30 medical and paramedical staff at Stage 1 were given BCG vaccine at Noida District Hospital while on COVID duty. None of these has been corona positive yet. At the same time, 50 people from a control group were taken. They were not given this vaccine. In which 16 people have become positive.
- On 24 August, In Stage 2, the BCG vaccine was given to 50 medical and paramedical staff at COVID Hospital in Noida, while they were doing COVID duty. None of these cases of corona infection was reported. At the same time, 80 staff members of the control group were taken who were not given this vaccine. Of these, 20 people were found infected with COVID.
Conclusion: In 210, 80 employees were vaccinated while 130 were monitored without being vaccinated. There were cases of corona in people who were not vaccinated, but those who got vaccinated have not yet got coronavirus infection.
