Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh turmeric powder
  • 1 cup jaggery
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup clarified butter
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut powder
  • 12 almonds
  • 12 cashews
  • 2 raisins
  • 12 soaked figs

Method

  • Add clarified butter to a heavy bottom pan and let it heat for a few minutes.
  • Add in the freshly grated turmeric or turmeric powder to the pan and saute it  well till it releases fats.
  • One the fats start separating add in the milk to it.
  • Let it simmer and stir occasionally.
  • Add in jaggery and soaked figs to the pan.
  • Cook it till the mixture gets bubbly and then add dry fruits to it.
  • Cook this for about 5 to 7 minutes and take  it out into a large bowl.
