Krishna Bharadwaj, renowned for his role as Tenali Rama in a TV series, recently opened up about his struggles with depression. Behind the laughter and charm of his on-screen persona, Krishna detailed how he was struggling financially, suffering from depression. The 41-year-old actor shared how meditation has played a pivotal role in his recovery. 

In a candid conversation, the ‘Tenali Rama’ actor shared how he battled mental challenges and discovered meditation as a healing tool. His insights highlight the often-overlooked mental health struggles actors face and emphasise the importance of self-care practices in navigating life's difficulties. 

“I was on medication for depression”: Krishna Bharadwaj 

While the actor was in depression, he revealed that he did not have the money to consult a mental health professional. “I did not have any money for consultation. I had money for medication, so I was on medication for depression,” he said in an interview with a media portal. 

However, through meditation, Krishna Bharadwaj found a path to recovery, transforming his life and outlook. “I started meditation. I used to meditate for 10 hours a day doing nothing else and would manifest good things in life,” he added. He also learned Sudarshan Kriya, a breathing technique and credited this practice to helping him emerge from depression. “I came out of depression because of Sudarshan Kriya,” he remarked as this technique alleviated his symptoms and enhanced his mental clarity.
