The right time to drink milk
Ayurveda emphasizes that all healthy individuals can consume Ksheera (milk) & everyone should take milk. It is beneficial for healthy individuals too, and there is no better aphrodisiac & life-prolonger than milk. In Ayurveda Milk is considered as Jivaniya (life-supporting). A regular intake of milk will save from all diseases and also slow down the ageing process. Milk on its own is a medicine. If taken with other drugs or herbs, it serves as a tonic or purifier. There is no specific time to consume milk still Ayurveda recommends evening time for consumption of milk due to its sleep-inducing properties.
Milk has been considered a complete diet in Ayurveda. It contains all the essential nutrients that the body needs. By the way, milk can be consumed anytime during the day. But drinking it at night eliminates complete body fatigue and gives you deep sleep. At the same time, milk is heavy to digest, so if it is drunk in the morning, then energy remains in the body throughout the day. Elderly people should drink milk in the afternoon.
