The Padma Awards to be given on the occasion of Republic Day have been announced. This time 7 celebrities will be given the Padma Vibhushan, 16 Padma Bhushan and 118 Padma Shri. Stalwarts from the field of medicine have been duly recognised for their contribution. Names like Dr Tsering Landol from Ladakh (Padma Shri), Dr Yogi Aeron from Dehradun (Padma Shri), Dr Padmavati Bandopadhyay from UP (Padma Shri), Dr Sushovan Banerjee from West Bengal (Padma Shri), Dr Digambar Behera from Chandigarh (Padma Shri), Dr Leela Joshi from MP (Padma Shri), Dr Narindar Nath Khanna from UP (Padma Shri), Dr Ravi Kannan R from Assam (Padma Shri), Dr Arunoday Mondal from West Bengal (Padma Shri), Dr Gurdip Singh From Gujarat (Padma Shri), Dr Sandra Desa Souza from Maharashtra (Padma Shri) have been conferred with the prestigious titles. These stalwarts have made valuable contributions in the field of medicine in their respective states and are known for their exceptional work worldwide.
