According to a statement by Mahi Vij's publicist, Avantika Sinha, the 43-years-old actress was admitted to the hospital due to high fever and severe weakness. Doctors are conducting several tests to determine the exact cause of her condition. The publicist confirmed, “Yes, she has high fever and extreme weakness and has just been admitted to the hospital. The doctor will run tests now. Nothing beyond this can be confirmed just yet. She is stable, however.” 

Earlier, Mahi had shared on Instagram about battling a viral infection, posting pictures of medications and thanking her family for support. At this stage, no chronic medical condition has been publicly confirmed, but the symptoms of fever along with severe weakness suggest she could be battling a strong viral illness or flu-type infection. In people under stress (physical or emotional), it’s not uncommon for such illnesses to hit harder than usual.
