In a recent interview discussing her fitness journey from 2018-19, Keerthy said, “I was very chubby back then… but I wasn’t fat. I did a lot of cardio, without any strength training. Because of that, I lost muscle and lost weight quickly.” She further added, “I lost nearly 9 kilos in 8 to 9 months. That’s when my face looked very sculpted but also very thin, almost emaciated at times.” The 'Baby John' actress further added, “I didn’t exercise regularly before that, just slept, ate, and worked. Later, I realised cardio alone made me thin, but it wasn’t the healthiest. After my film Mahanati, I knew I needed to work out properly.”

How to Get a Sculpted Face2 - 2025-08-07T134237.581

A sculpted face is the issue of getting rid of the superfluous fat and gymnasticising the muscles on the face, around the jaw, the cheeks, and the neck.

  • Burn up fat on your whole body: As you burn up the excess fat, it is reflected even on your face.
  • Keep hydrated: Water will make you less swollen on the face.
  • Facial exercises: basic movements would help in toning the facial muscles.
  • Nourishing diet: A clean diet lowers puffiness and improves the skin.
  • Limit salt and alcohol: Salt will cause water to be retained and become puffy.
  • Regular exercise: Burns body fat and slims the face.
  • Skincare: Moisturise and apply sun protective cream to maintain elasticity on the skin.

Bear in mind that face shape is also determined by genetics. Good skincare and healthy habits, paired with weight loss, help the most.

Weight Loss With Cardio and No Strength Training: How It Works1 - 2025-08-07T134241.445

Cardio exercises are those that raise your heart rate and keep it elevated for a period, such as walking, running, cycling, or dancing. Here’s why cardio alone helped Keerthy lose weight:

  • Cardio burns off a lot of calories, inducing a calorie shortage needed to accomplish weight loss.
  • The main advantage of it is its assistance in eliminating fat, such as facial fat, that slims the face in a natural way.
  • Loss of muscle mass might result without strength training, and in some cases, this can produce an extremely thin or emaciated look.
  • Keerthy stressed she lost rapidly, but did not increase her muscle weight in this period of time.
  • Although it results in rapid weight loss, cardio does not always make the best option when it comes to long-term health; strength training does more muscle maintenance and body toning.

Her experience reveals not only how much cardio can help you change your look, but also how important balance is.

Conclusion

The instance presented by Keerthy Suresh of how she lost 8-9 kilos using just cardio and not strength training can provide a clue on how it can be achieved to have a sculpted visage. Her frank assessment of appearing too thin at various moments further demonstrates that there should be a balance in fitness. To give yourself a sculpted face, hydration and healthy eating, muscle-strengthening exercises, and cardio are important. Keerthy’s story encourages us to find what works for our bodies while embracing healthy habits without shame.
