Are you that sleepyhead that is always lazy and wants to sleep those extra hours? Well, those extra hours actually cut off some quality time of your life and make you look dizzy all the times. It is true that waking up early might not be easy for every individual, but getting up at odd hours, then going late for work, getting irritated over time, etc. could affect their health. This will also impact your working schedule which could be hard to handle waking up late. How to Wake Up Early? 

Waking up early means to have better concentration, productivity and quality of sleep in order to benefit your health for longer period of time. Being an early bird can also give you more time for yourself and can reduce risk of several health conditions, especially related to respiration.  

1. Set an Early Bedtime 

Most of us are not in a habit of going to sleep early. Out usual time is also at least 11pm for most youngsters. This results to affect the wake-up time as well. As the phrase says, early to bed, early to rise, makes life bright and shine. Adults should at least aim for 7 hours of sleep in the night and this should probably start from 9-10pm. This can cause less struggle while waking up. 


2. Unplug before bed 

Unplugging here means to get away from your smart phones and gadgets that could probably harm your health. You need to do this at least 30 minutes before the bed time as it contributes to better sleep in the night. According to some experts, blue light emitted from the screen alter your body’s natural melatonin levels and could cause problems while falling asleep. Early bedtime can reduce this interference and leave you in a much happier mood when you wake up in the morning. 

3. Avoid late-night munching 

If you do not sleep on time, then the responses of the body will ask you to eat something out of natural hunger. Late night snacks could probably affect your hunger pains and make it actually less enjoyable. This is because it can lead you to acid reflux and tiredness for the next day. Therefore, you need to ditch those snacks and save your day by making room for your appetite for breakfast in the morning.

4. Avoid too much sugary drinks or coffee 

Energy or coffee drinks might give you an extra boost that you require to study or do your tasks. But actually, large amount of sugar or caffeine in the drinks can make it challenging for you to fall asleep. Limiting this consumption of sugary beverages throughout the day could aid in a better sleep and thus help you wake up early in the morning. It provides you with healthier metabolism and better mental health as well.  


5. Put your phone on silent when you sleep 

This has become a tendency that if you get notification on your phone, then you might check it time and again. This puts unnecessary stress on your body and can actually affect your health. It not only disrupts the sleep cycle but also decreases concentration and immunity in the body. This is the reason that you should always keep your phone on silent while you go to sleep. All the notifications and messages would still be there in the morning, which you could check when you wake up.

6. Place your alarm clock across the room 

What we have usually seen is that we stop the alarm before even it rings twice. This happens, because the alarm is in close proximity of our bed. If you keep your alarm far away from you, then there are more chances that you can wake up early in the morning. You will be forced to get out of the bed to silence it. After a period of time, you can actually start waking up early and thus jumping onto a healthy routine.
