It is quite often linked with age but younger people too can face the health issue. The good news, however, is that piles generally go away on their own with diet modification, self-care and inclusion of physical exercise to the daily routine. Drinking plenty of water is highly recommended as it keeps the stool soft and hence easy to pass through the colon canal. It improves the digestive system and hence bowel movement. Raising water intake is among the easiest things to do and hence one should drink at least 8-10 glass of water every day. It not only eases constipation but prevent many lifestyle diseases. Sufficient water reduces pressure during excretion and hence eases off the pain.  It is not said without reason that "Eat more fibre and stay hydrated to lead a healthy life."

Fibre rich foods such as shredded wheat, pulses, whole fruits and green vegetables bring relief from constipation thus helping with piles. The fibre present in Isabgol causes the stool to soften thus making its passage smooth. Isabgol has been used as laxative since ages and is a household item in many  Indian homes. Experts recommend two spoonful of Isabgol in warm milk or water before going to sleep in the night. In few weeks, the benefits are strikingly evident.

Castor Oil
