There are reports which show that using cotton buds regularly is bad for your ears that may cause various ear problems including pain and deafness, in the worst case. Therefore, you must refrain yourself from using these and try these methods instead which are not only safe but also effective in earwax removal.
Put garlic oil
Has your grandmother ever put mustard oil in your ears to clear them up? Well, this is a grandma’s remedy. However, we are asking you to put some garlic oil in your ears. In case you don’t know how to make garlic oil, click here to know the process.
You must also know that garlic has anti-bacterial and anti-viral properties. Therefore, garlic oil is helpful in cleansing your wax, removing odors and protecting against infection. To make garlic oil, peel 4-5 cloves of garlic and cook it in a little coconut oil for 10-12 minutes. Now filter this oil and put it in the ear. If you add lukewarm oil, you will benefit more. But take care of the temperature so that it is not too hot, because the inner skin of the ear is very thin and sensitive.
Baking soda is beneficial in all skin and hair problems. In addition, you can also use it to remove the smell coming from the ear. Make a little solution by mixing 4 pinches of baking soda in 2 teaspoons of water. Put a few drops of this solution in the ear and clean it after stopping for 2 minutes. The smell will disappear from your ear and the wax will also be cleaned.
Apple Cider Vinegar
The smell of ear can also be removed by using apple cider vinegar. It has acidic properties, so it flushes out the wax. You mix half a teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar in 2 teaspoons of distilled water and dilute it. Now put it in the ear and leave it for 2 minutes. After 2 minutes clean the ear with the help of ear buds. This will remove excess wax and remove the smell coming from the ear.
Hydrogen peroxide is most commonly used to remove dirt and wax in the ear. The use of this chemical causes bubbles to form in the ear and the wax begins to swell. After this it becomes easy to remove it from the ear. Keep in mind that do not use hydrogen peroxide directly in the ears, but only add half hydrogen peroxide (3%) and half distilled water to it. After this clean the wax with the help of cotton bud. This will remove the smell of ear. If you have an ear infection, ear bleeding problem or pain, do not use hydrogen peroxide at all.
