Foods to Avoid Before Flying
There are certain foods that you must avoid when flying in order to avoid gas and bloating, here is a guide for you.
At a time when more and more people are taking to flying as a mode of transportation, it is only right to understand the tricks of it. The issue being that burping and bloating is caused by gas expansion in the stomach at a high altitude. You will thus, need to make sure that you eat right before you fly in order to be sure of a gas and a bloat free experience, feeling uncomfortable is the last thing you need when flying 30,000 feet above the ground!

- Junk Food: You must not eat from big Macs before flying, that is to say try and avoid big, greasy, fat laden meals. The human body does not do so well digesting foods that are rich with sodium and saturated fats, so you can well imagine that digestion at 30,000 feet could prove to be difficult. So it is only common sense to avoid such foods.
- The ones that Give Gas: Gas in the stomach is one of the main troubles when flying high, and hence make all efforts to avoid such foods. These will include fried and super-saturated dishes, but we can also think certain "healthy" foods such as onions, cauliflower, cabbage, and baked beans. If you do not want the gas moving in your stomach to disturb fellow passengers, then do not go for foods mentioned here!

- Alcohol: Yes, it may seem fun to down a few drinks before taking a flight, usually to relax and have a nice nap. However, doctors say that once they awaken from their slumber, it gets difficult to back to sleep, and alcohol is to be blamed for it. Because, since the alcohol content in your body will take over the water content, you are likely to get dehydrated and thus a hangover can be very much expected.
- Carbonated Drinks: It is tempting not to grab a can of coke when travelling, there is something about travelling and flavoured soda drinks. They just seem to go hand in hand. This is primarily because you think you are tired and the travelling is taking a toll on you, but have you ever seen an athlete reaching for a can of coke after his event?
