According to Dr Swati Bathwal, consuming milk may cause digestive problems for some people. The reason for this is the lactose present in milk. Drinking milk may cause (stomach issues) gas, diarrhoea, or vomiting. Many people drink milk on an empty stomach, and hence their digestion worsens. Therefore, people whose digestive system is weak should stay away from milk. The casein protein present in milk also causes problems in some people. In particular, some children are unable to digest milk due to casein. In some cases, consumption of milk causes pimples on the face.
