Let’s dive right in. We ask our expert to share which is the best time to have curd. To answer this, Ms Raj lists down its benefits at both times of the day. Let’s have a look:

Curd In The Morning:

  • Eating curd in the morning can be refreshing and easy to digest.
  • It provides a good source of protein and calcium to start the day.
  • The probiotics in curd help improve gut health and boost immunity.
  • Morning curd can also give energy and keep you full until the next meal.
  • It is best to have it with a little warm water or as part of breakfast, rather than with very cold foods.

“Some people may find it slightly heavy on an empty stomach, especially if they have sensitive digestion,” adds the expert.

Curd At Night

  • Eating curd at night can help improve digestion because it is light and soothing.
  • The probiotics help maintain healthy gut bacteria while you sleep.
  • It can also aid in better sleep for some people because it contains tryptophan, which helps relax the body.

“However, for people with weak digestion or acidity, eating curd at night may cause bloating or gas. Also, pairing curd with very cold or fried foods at night is not recommended,” warns Ms Raj.
