Anemia is one of the most common effects of miscarriage. A woman bleeds a lot when she goes through a miscarriage and this can be dangerous for the body. In rare cases, women may have hemorrhaging as a major complication of miscarriage. It is important to get medical treatment for there is too much bleeding.
Depression is also an effect a woman as she goes through a traumatic loss. It can be very disturbing to get over this situation. Even if the miscarriage happens in the initial months, the woman gets extremely connected to the developing baby. There are strong feelings of sadness, anger, and guilt over the loss of a baby after miscarriage.
Lower abdominal pain and menstrual cramps may also occur in most of the women for 3-4 days after having a miscarriage. There are also other issues like breast discomfort, leaking milk, in which ice packs can be of help. You can use a hot water bag to ease the pain and discomfort.

You might also have sleeplessness due to the loss, so try having warm milk at night before bedtime as it will help you sleep better.
Iron and calcium intake should be looked after in the this recovery periodsl. There is an essential need to gain the stamina back in your body and refuel it. There is no need to deprive yourself from food whenever you feel hungry or sad. Make sure to consume a healthy diet and have foods that contain proteins, carbohydrates, fibres, fats, and all the other important vitamins and minerals. It is also important to take a lot of fluids and keep yourself hydrated by drinking lots of water everyday.
Another tip that is given by many experts is that you should avoid having sex for a few weeks after the miscarriage. There is a lot of bleeding as a post effect so you have to wait to recover. Just wait for the bleeding to stop and the cervix to close. You can talk to your doctor for the next intercourse and planning another baby.
