COVID-19 cases are increasing in Mumbai these days. Maharashtra is one of the states in the list of highest cases in India. This widespread virus has taken down many Bollywood celebrities as well. From Satish Kaushik to Ranbir Kapoor, Kartik Aryan to R. Madhavan, all these actors became a target of Coronavirus. In fact, Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar also tested COVID-19 positive a few days ago. And now, the latest name added to this list is Alia Bhatt. The 28 year old actress told everyone about this on social media on Thursday (April 1), late at night. Meanwhile, due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra, a night curfew has been imposed in the state, in which shopping malls will also be closed from 8 pm to 7 am.
Alia took to her Instagram handle and announced the news to her fans. She wrote, "Hello all, I have tested positive for COVID-19. I have immediately isolated myself and will be under home quarantine. I am following all safety protocols under the advice of my doctors." Alia also thanked all her fans in her Instagram story and added saying, "Grateful for all your love and support. Please stay safe and take care." Earlier, when boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor tested positive for COVID-19, Alia revealed that she is in isolation and has tested negative. "I've been reading all your messages of concern and care. I have tested negative for COVID-19 and after isolating and speaking with my doctors, I am back to work from today. Thank you for all your good wishes. I am taking care and staying safe. You please do the same," she wrote on her social media account. In fact, during the quarantine period, the Highway actress even shared a post for him which said, "Major missing".
On the work front, Alia Bhatt has been occupied with the shooting of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi in Mumbai. The gorgeous actress is playing the role of a mafia queen in the movie. The film is expected to hit the theatres on July 30 this year. Alia Bhatt is also working with Ranbir Kapoor in director Ayan Mukerji's upcoming movie Brahmastra. Alia has lined up other films such as SS Rajamouli's RRR, in which she will work with Ram Charan, Jr NTR and Ajay Devgn.
