The music, the backdrops, the action, everything was on point, but what made it so much worth more was the transformation the actors went through to justify their roles. Their fitness journeys and looks have been grabbing the limelight for all the right reasons. Ranbir Kapoor crossed all expectations when he dropped his whole bulky bearded look for the movie and the internet went rightfully crazy. But what went behind the scenes was a long and time-consuming journey.

After his last film, ‘Tu Jhooti Mai Makkar’, Ranbir Kapoor needed to bulk up and maintain a certain body shape for his hypermasculine role in Animal. Apart from the intensive workout regimes, another aspect that played a huge role in his transformation was his diet. Recently, Ranbir Kapoor’s private chef Ramaskanda Shastry took to Instagram and shared how it was to prepare the actor for his recent project. As per the chef, it was necessary to focus on Ranbir’s diet as they were preparing for something ‘massive’, and the actor needed to look a certain way for it. He also talked about Ranbir’s dedication as the actor never compromised with his food intake no matter what conditions they were facing.

Talking about his diet, the chef mentioned that it was majorly a large amount of nutritious food that would help the process of gaining weight and muscle. His food intake was continuously being monitored and it was being made sure that he ate despite any dietary fluctuations throughout the entire movie.

Earlier, Ranbir’s fitness trainer Shivohan too took to Instagram to laud the efforts that the actor has put in for his latest project. The character needed a big muscular frame, for which the training was primarily revolving around weightlifting with a CrossFit-style approach. The training intensity was increased by increasing volume, altering weights, and working on various combinations of muscle groups each session. The actor needed to put on twelve to fourteen kilograms in order to get the muscular figure right.

Ranbir, being known as a character actor, has literally given his blood and sweat for this Sandeep Vanga Reddy’s directorial. His portrayal of a diverse range of characters in his last few projects and his dedication to making himself the right fit for each of them is nothing but applaudable.
