The truth is that it can be quite difficult to determine the underlying cause of improper climax in women. There could be a host of factors that does not allow them to reach their orgasmic potential. These factors could range from, physical, emotional, or even psychological.
We can list out many causes, these include, older age; medical conditions such as diabetes; a history of gynaecological surgeries such as a hysterectomy; the use of certain medications, particularly selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) for depression; cultural or religious beliefs; embarrassment or shyness; guilt about enjoying sexual activity; history of sexual abuse; mental health conditions, such as depression or anxiety; stress; poor self-esteem; and relationship issues, such as unresolved conflicts or lack of trust.
Now it can also be seen that sometimes, there is a combination of two of more of these factors that lead to orgasmic disorder in women. The inability to reach an orgasm can lead to distress, and can make it even harder to achieve orgasms in the future.
