Feel Out Of Place At Parties Being a Teetotaler? Try These Non-Alcoholic Drinks For New Year Celebration

Unlike many party animals who like to drink alcohol at parties, some prefer being sober and not touching liquor. But there seldom are drink options for such teetotalers in most of the parties and they end up feeling out of place.

As New Year's Eve is around the corner, house party hosts are all set to load their kitchens off with alcohol and cocktail ingredients, but hey, do not forget non-alcohol consumers and the people who are trying to quit alcohol.

Non Alcoholic Drinks For New Years

Here are some easy to make non-alcoholic drinks for this New Year’s party:

Fruit Punch:

In a jar, pour half a litre of orange juice, half a litre of mixed fruit juice and some ginger ale and stir it nicely. Add some ice cubes and sliced lemon and your fruit punch is good to go.

Cranberry mocktail:

Take 3 to 4 cups of cranberry juice, mix it with sparkling water and soda, add sprite according to your taste and stir it well. Few drops of lemon juice will make it soothing. Add ice and dried cranberries at last and the mocktail is ready.

Non-alcoholic champagne:

Combine club soda, ginger ale and grape juice, all overnight chilled, in a large jug. Put some ice and it is ready to serve. Do not forget to serve it in champagne glasses.

Pineapple punch:

Mix cold pineapple juice with ginger ale and lemon flavoured soda in a punch bowl. Add some ice, chopped pineapple cubes in a martini or wine glass and pour the mixture in it. Your punch is ready to drink but hey, don’t gulp it down without cheers!

Apart from these, you can always go for cocktail mixers. Instead of mixing alcohol with the mixers, mix soda, sprite or any other soft drink that you like. You can go for iced tea at parties. It goes well with starters. If you’re an indecisive confused soul, who does not like to try new things then virgin mojito is the drink you’re looking for.

Want to avoid alcohol but still want a drink tasting like it? Non-alcoholic beer and Red Bull is your answer my friend. Grab it. If you want something creamy, go for Cold Irish Coffee or simply a McFloat.

Who said party drinks are a must with ice? Beat the cold wave and plump for a cup of hot chocolate with some marshmallows in it or whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Who should avoid drinking alcohol and why?

Pregnant women should not drink alcohol at all. It can lead to miscarriage or premature birth. Alcohol consumption can also cause long term health conditions to the baby.

People with vertigo should be cautious about the amount of alcohol consumption. It is better to avoid it. Alcohol can worsen the vertigo symptoms which may lead to dehydration and dizziness.

When on allopathic medication, say a big no no to alcohol. Medicines sometimes have side effects like feeling light headed or sleepy. These side effects can inflame due to alcohol consumption.
