Poetry For Mental Health

With a head full of shiny and healthy white hair, Abdullah donned a casual blue shirt, carrying a flute in his hand as he greeted fans and admirers graciously for photos. When our team asked him about the benefits of poetry for mental health, he said “All of us have a spiritual eye, which we also call the third eye, and poetry can help us open that. He added, “Poetry is an art that helps us understand and realise our life’s events. This helps us become more aware, sensitive, and in tune with our emotions and circumstances. Poets through the power of articulation help others also gain clarity about the nuances of life.”

Nasir Abdullah’s Health Mantra

OnlyMyHealth correspondents asked Nasir, “Clearly you are in great shape. Can you please share some health rules and mantras you live by? Some fitness or lifestyle tips you can share.”

To which he graciously responded, “We can not ignore the role that genetics and heredity play in one’s health and well-being. A lot of diseases like diabetes and heart disease can be passed down through generations and I consider myself lucky that it is not the case with me exactly. So first and foremost I attribute my health to that and also to karma.”

He said that his fitness mantra is “A little bit of exercise, a little bit of happiness, and healthy eating.”
