Recently, actor and director Mahesh Manjrekar was present at the trailer launch of his upcoming film ‘Antim: The Final Truth’, which also stars Salman Khan and his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma in the lead roles. All the fans were surprised to see Mahesh Manjrekar’s in a different slim and fit avatar at the trailer launch. Then, he told everyone the story of his cancer and weight loss.
Mahesh said, “When shooting Antim, an unfortunate thing happened. I got cancer and shot the last portion of the film when I was undergoing chemotherapy. Today, I am cancer free." Salman also shared that Mahesh did not tell anyone about his condition. The actor further added and said, “He just didn’t tell anyone; instead, he started shooting the film. When the shoot was over, he went and got himself operated on and now he’s good." Mahesh and Salman have shared screen space in Dabangg in the past.

The Vaastav director said, ‘I was undergoing chemotherapy during the shoot of the film. This was followed by surgery. I was not shocked when I found out I had cancer. I know there are a lot of people who got cancer. He fought it and even won the war. Bladder cancer develops when there are changes in the DNA of cells in the bladder. Bladder cancer can mostly be detected at an early stage because one of the signs include blood in the urine or other urinary problems, which makes one go to the doctor.
