The functions we perform are connected to each other and it is hard to determine the actual cause of problem in the first look. Tissues are connected to the heart in a certain way that creates electrical impulses throughout the heart muscles. People just know of heart attack as the major diseases or affect that can happen in the heart, but the truth is that there are many other conditions as well which can create serious damage to cardiovascular system. One such problem is Left Bundle branch disease that takes place in the chambers of the left ventricle.
Left Bundle Branch Block
Electrical impulse in the upper chambers can be because of disruption in the regular pattern of the body. We spoke to Dr. Arun Goyal, Head of Cardiology, Ivory Hospital, Greater Noida to know about this disorder. If the electrical pathways are obstructed then the upper chamber contract first followed by right chambers. When the electrical impulse gets lower than usual, then it becomes hard for the heart to pump blood.
When the electrical pathway of the left ventricle of the heart is obstructed, then it could lead to delayed impulse in the lower portion of the heart. It happens in the lower left portion of the heart. In case this happens in the left side of the heart, hence it is called Left Bundle Branch Block.
Symptoms of Left Bundle Branch Block
Left Bundle branch block does not obtain any significant symptoms. Infact in some people, the symptoms are not even visible in several years. Reason for this is not known exactly but this is because the signals are not disrupted in a manner that it causes problem in daily routine.

People who have electrical impulse leading to problem in the left ventricle, this can cause fainting in people and unusual heart rhythm problems. It can also affect blood pressure of the person and result in pre-syncope condition.
Those who have left bundle branch block can also experience symptoms such as pre faint condition in which people feel like fainting but they actually don’t. Other symptoms of Left Bundle Branch Block includes-
- Shortness of breath
- Weakness in body
- Sudden dizziness
- Muscle weakness
- High blood pressure
What Causes Left Bundle Branch Block?
This heart disorder can be caused because of damage to the heart tissues. It can be very hard for the person to tolerate imbalanced electrical impulses in the body. Heart attack is one such example that can cause left bundle block in a certain branch of the left ventricle.
Damage to any tissue in the ventricle of the heart that can create damage to the heart can be probable cause of left bundle branch block. The pre-faint feeling can occur before having a left bundle branch block in the person.

There could be conditions that are responsible for having this heart disorder-
- Coronary artery failure
- Having a heart failure
- Problems related to aortic valve
- Heart infection
- Weakened heart muscles
- Stiffened heart muscles that could to Cardiomyopathy
Treatment for Left Bundle Branch Block
This disease does not particularly affect people of large scale; hence there is no special treatment available for this disease. However it is possible to cure this disease by treating symptoms of this problem. It is usually caused by some kind of cardiovascular disease which results to blockage in the left ventricle in either of the branches.
Electrical signal breakthrough can be cured with the help of pacemaker. It is a device that emits electricity and helps to maintain a consistent rhythm in the heart. It also reduces strain over your heart and confines the person to have a safer heart.
If left bundle branch block happens because of increase in blood pressure of the person, then it could be treated with the help of medications as well. It also reduces strain on the heart of the person that could pose the risk of this cardiovascular disorder.
