Kiara didn't mince words when addressing the industry’s gruelling schedules. Reflecting on the ongoing debate regarding an 8-hour work shift, she highlighted that pushing oneself to the brink is counterproductive for everyone involved.
“Burnout helps no one in any industry,” Kiara stated during her conversation with Vogue India. She emphasised that mental health should be a non-negotiable priority. For Kiara, a healthy workspace isn't just a luxury; it’s a necessity for creativity to thrive. She has even adopted a personal "three-word mantra" that she applies to both her film crews and her staff at home: “Dignity. Balance. Respect.” These values ensure that everyone, including herself, can work without feeling physically or emotionally depleted.

Since welcoming her daughter, Saraayah, in July 2025, Kiara’s relationship with herself has shifted significantly. Like many new moms, she initially felt the pressure to bounce back. However, that mindset quickly evolved into one of deep gratitude.
"After delivery, a part of me thought, 'I've done this before, I'll do it again.' Then I realised it's not about having the best body," she shared. Instead of focusing on "losing a kilo here or there," she now looks at her body with a sense of awe. “Wow, you created a human. Nothing compares,” she remarked, adding that she now respects her body regardless of its shape or size.
The Secret to Her Supercharged Focus
Interestingly, motherhood hasn't slowed Kiara down and it has made her more efficient. She revealed that she has never been more ambitious, but her "fire" is now more focused. She utilises the small gaps in her day, the "micro-moments" to get things done while the baby sleeps.
Her cure for mental exhaustion? It’s not a spa day or a vacation. She revealed that the simple “sound of Saraayah giggling in her sleep” is enough to bring her back to a place of calm and clarity.
Navigating Work While Pregnant
Kiara also opened up about filming her upcoming project, Toxic, while seven months pregnant. Interestingly, only her director and producer knew about her condition. To protect her peace during emotionally heavy scenes, she developed a sweet ritual. She would step into her vanity van, place a hand on her belly, and whisper, “Mama is only acting, okay? This isn’t real.” This level of mindfulness allowed her to deliver a powerful performance (with her first look as 'Nadia' already winning hearts) while keeping her baby’s well-being at the forefront.

Conclusion
Kiara Advani’s perspective serves as a vital reminder that setting boundaries isn't a sign of weakness, as it's a hallmark of longevity. By supporting the 8-hour workday and being vocal about her postpartum struggles, she is helping to normalise a more humane approach to work in high-pressure industries. Her journey shows that when we prioritise "Dignity, Balance, and Respect," we don't just become better workers; we become more present and resilient individuals.
