Believe it or not, you can gain weight while drinking water! This is because if the salt intake is more in your body then the body retains the excess water which will show up as those extra pounds on the measuring scale. This type of “weight gain” cannot be accounted to body fat. If you do not want to retain that excess water then cut down on sodium intake and also exercise regularly which will help remove the excess water by sweating. Drinking 5-8 glasses of water keeps you hydrated and runs the metabolism of the body efficiently. Try to avoid processed foods, eat plenty of fruits and raw vegetables.
