You can feel a sharp pain in your tooth while you eat or drink something cold or hot. However, this sensitivity is temporary and goes off with time. Another issue you may have following teeth whitening treatment is mouth and gum irritation. The chemical used for bleaching your teeth, commonly hydrogen peroxide, may cause this to happen.
