Dr. Rajasekara Chakravarthi Madarasu is a Senior Consultant Nephrologist, Clinical Director, and Head of the Department of Nephrology and Transplant Services at Yashoda Hospitals, Hitec City, Hyderabad, with over 30 years of clinical experience in nephrology and renal transplantation. He holds an MBBS and MD in Internal Medicine from JSS Medical College, University of Mysore, and a DNB in Nephrology from Apollo Hospitals, Chennai. Over his career, Dr. Madarasu has held senior leadership positions at some of Hyderabad's most reputed hospitals, including Apollo Hospitals, CARE Hospitals, and Star Hospitals, where he built and led nephrology departments and transplant services. He provides advanced care for a wide spectrum of renal disorders across both paediatric and adult populations, with specialised expertise in chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, glomerulonephritis, diabetic nephropathy, kidney transplantation, renal biopsy interpretation, and dialysis and renal replacement therapy. An active researcher and educator, Dr. Madarasu has won prestigious awards at national and international nephrology conferences, including the Tanker Award for Best Paper at the ISN Annual Conference and the Oreopoulos Award for Best Paper. He is also actively involved in teaching and mentoring future nephrologists.
