We all know that COVID-19 spreads like anything but the need of the hour are not to have unwanted mortalities. In a recent interview of Health Minister Dr Harsh  Vardhan with Marya Shakil, Political Editor, CNN-News18, the data shows that 10,000 patients have recovered and the majority are recovering as well. On the increasing cases in the recent past,  the health minister added that it has nothing to do with stigma. Advancement In Testing

The interaction shed light on the testing strategy, which is devised by ICMR. Timely revision and modification has been done as per the cases and also a rise in the number of testing labs from 1 to 420 labs in total. The health minister focused on 75,000 people are under the testing phase, and million of tests have been done till now. To fight disease, there is a need to have a well-defined strategy. With two lockdowns past, the need now is to have well-defined containment strategies with high infected numbers. Health Minister explains that we must take care of the disease in a scientific manner and open economy is a graded manner.

Urban Cities In More Danger

We know how cities like Mumbai and Delhi are reeling under the vast spread of the COVID-19, but as per Dr Harsh Vardhan, it is tough to know the real cause behind the cause of such rise in numbers. But some of these bore the maximum numbers of international travellers. He also stressed on the possibility of how people in these cities must not have followed lockdown principles quite adequately. Hence, more stringent rules need to be imposed in cities where there is more flow of people coming in from various states and even countries. Even after the imposed lockdown, it can be challenging to keep a check on such big cities.

Misinformation Surrounding COVID-19 Testing
