Fetal Weight Gain in Third Tri-Semester
It is a commonly known fact that during the time of pregnancy a woman will gain a considerable amount of weight. The third tri-semester is the end of a long biological journey as the mother is now expecting her baby anytime.
During the third tri-semester of a pregnancy there are major changes in the foetus and visible physical changes in the mother. 1. Eyes and bones – Your baby’s eye lids are partially open and eye lashes get formed in and around the 26th week after conceiving.
2. Your baby practices breathing – Your baby begins to take in the various minerals and vitamins during this time and even though the baby’s lungs are not fully developed yet he or she practices breathing.
3. Bigger Developments- Your baby around the 32nd week will have massive growth. The baby would try and move more frequently and turn its head side to side. Your baby’s organs continue to mature during this time.
4. Detects Light – 33 weeks into your pregnancy your baby’s pupils that have developed to a considerable extent can detect and light entering into his or her eyes.
5. 5 pound baby- During the 34th week the baby would weigh around 5 pounds and will ideally take up its head first position. Also the baby’s skin will be less wrinkled and red.
6. Growth – Your baby would just grow from the period of 35th to 38th week. The baby would weigh about 6 pounds by now. Also during this time there is a feeling called Lightening which means that the mother feels like the baby is dropping. This basically happens due to lower abdominal pressure. Your baby in the 38th week continues to gain body fat and also develop a considerable amount of hair on his or her head. The baby during this time would grow up to 20 inches. So as you can see that this period is marked by an all round growth. Your baby is preparing to see the world!
7. The Last Phase – From the 39th week up until the 41st or 42nd week your pregnancy is taking a full term. Your baby should ideally weigh around 7.5 pounds and be 18-20 inches long. And with the end of the third tri semester you deliver a beautiful life are ready to become a mother!
