Tips To Manage Bad Breath
Cardamom seeds contain antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, which can help fight bad breath. Chewing on cardamom seeds can help in freshening up breath, combat bacteria in the mouth, and even help reduce plaque buildup. Additionally, cardamom is known for its digestive benefits, which can help reduce odour-causing bacteria in the stomach.
Honey And Ginger
Honey and ginger have antibacterial properties which can help fight the bacteria that causes bad breath. Honey also contains antioxidants that can help reduce inflammation in the mouth and throat, while ginger can help improve digestion and reduce stomach acid, which can also contribute to bad breath.

Need To Treat Constipation
Constipation can lead to bad breath in some cases. When food and waste linger in the digestive tract for an extended period of time, it can cause bacterial overgrowth and lead to bad breath. Additionally, dehydration can lead to bad breath as well, and constipation can lead to dehydration. Ayurveda digestive remedies such as triphala churana, shanka vati, hingvastak churana, and others can be helpful.
Consuming Fennel Seeds After Meals
Fennel seeds contain flavonoids and are digestive in nature. This stimulates the flow of saliva, alleviating dry mouth. Fennel seeds have a fragrant flavour that helps to counteract the foul breath that commonly comes with dry mouth.
Post-meal Mouth Rinse (Kavala)
Ayurveda does not encourage drinking water immediately after meals because it can impede your metabolism. Nonetheless, water is essential for cleaning the mouth, especially after meals. Just simply gargling (filling your mouth with water and swishing it about for two to three minutes, known as Kavala in Ayurveda) can be done. It guarantees that no food particles remain in the mouth.

Avoid Frequent Snacking
Snacking regularly increases the likelihood of food being lodged in the mouth. Brushing your teeth after every meal is impractical. Hence, for your dental and digestive health, try eating three meals a day and quit snacking every two hours. It is advisable to space two consecutive meals by at least three hours.
