To lose weight, it is often advised to exercise and sweat as much as possible. Even it is frequently recommended to wear two layers of clothing so that you can sweat more and lose that last layer of fat. Sweating is unquestionably beneficial for losing weight and for your skin because it increases blood flow to the skin cells, bringing in nutrients and oxygen while removing toxins. On the other hand, sweating in the gym can create ideal conditions for acne-causing bacteria and yeast to thrive, resulting in more frequent breakouts. Most of these pimples appear on sweat-prone areas such as your face, chest, and back. So if you are also suspecting acne after a workout, here's why it occurs and what you can do about it.

3) High Test Levels

When you exercise, your body produces a lot of testosterone. Testosterone is necessary for a healthy body, but it is an excess of testosterone in the body that causes acne. Moreover, testosterone levels are at their peak until 30 years of age, which is why most people struggle with pimples in their twenties.

If your acne is severe and you have been experiencing it prior to exercising, these tips will not help; instead, you should consult a dermatologist.

1) Reduce Coffee Intake

If you work out or are new to losing weight, you've probably heard of using coffee as a pre-workout drink. Coffee causes dehydration in the body, and the best way to judge this is how quickly you seek water after consuming black coffee. Acne will persist if you are dehydrated. So, for a few days, limit your coffee consumption.

2) Face Wash & Carry Cloth

Make it a habit to wash your face before and after you go to the gym. This not only helps in removing dirt but also keeps the pores from becoming clogged with dirt. Moreover, keep a cloth with you while working out and keep cleaning your sweat. The best way is to wash your face every 20 minutes while working out.

3) Avoid Touching Your Face

When you work out, you use different equipment, and other people use the same equipment too, so when you perform a set, your bacteria mix with the bacteria of others. Touching your face with the same hand can transfer bacteria, oils, and dirt from your hands to your skin, contributing to clogged pores and infections.
