- Fruit + protein pairing (apple with peanut butter, banana with nuts).
- Roasted chana or makhana.
- Greek yogurt or curd with seeds.
- Boiled eggs or paneer cubes.
- Hummus with vegetable sticks.
Tips to Overcome Afternoon Energy Crash
Apart from diet, there are other factors too that can help you beat the afternoon slump. Speaking more on this, Dr Chopra says, “Hydration is equally important — sometimes fatigue is simply dehydration in disguise. A glass of water, coconut water, or herbal tea can help restore energy.”
The expert adds, “Avoid sugary snacks and multiple cups of coffee. Instead, focus on balanced snacking, hydration, and short movement breaks to naturally overcome the afternoon slump and maintain consistent energy throughout the day.”
