According to Ms. Shilpa Singh, Clinical Nutritionist from Fatima Hospital, Lucknow says that this disease can be regulated and kept in control by reducing its symptoms. In psoriatic arthritis there is constant swelling, pain and stiffness in joints; people also face fatigue in this condition very easily. This majority of symptoms can be controlled by regulating the diet. For this amount of protein needs to be increased, person should have unsaturated carbs and fats in limited amount. Increase fibre and vitamin D, B6 and B12 in the body which can improve the immune response to stop attacking its own cells.


Food Choices to Reduce Psoriatic Arthritis Symptoms

Food choices can help to regulate the symptoms of psoriatic arthritis and lower down the risk of metabolic problems. Food can be useful in controlling inflammation which is also the reason for autoimmune response disorder. Chronic inflammation plays a major role in increasing inflammation; hence it is the first point of trigger.

1. Anti-inflammatory foods

There are many food items that are rich in anti-oxidants. These foods are useful to bring down inflammation caused by immune system in that area and control the situation. Anti-inflammatory foods include-
